The Million Dollar Question:

Who am I?

First and foremost, I’m a proud dad of two gorgeous girls, Nyah (7) and Yve-Noelle (2), and a happily married man to my beautiful wife Amanda.

If i can’t spend my day on the beach with my three princesses, I run my own photographic studio in Southport, on the beautiful Gold Coast. Originally from Switzerland, I now call Australia home.

Photography is more than just my job for me, it is my passion. I love capturing the “spark” in peoples eyes, their beauty, thought and emotion. I enjoy working with creative individuals, people with ideas, I love photographing children because of their brutal honesty and playful minds, I’m fascinated by engaging concepts and inspired by the fashion world, and humbled to be a part of such a personal event as a wedding.

As a visual artist, I challenge myself, and aim to create and discover something new, every single time I pick up a camera.

Commercial & Editorial…

My work has been published in various international magazines, featured in art galleries, and is used on book and CD- and DVD covers. I have had the privilege to photograph some of the best in their fields, from sporting superstars like Roger Federer, the Australian Wallabies and the New Zealand All Blacks, to musicians like Seal, the Woodstock legends Canned Heat and the cast of the TV show “So you think you can dance“, and not to forget the beauties of Miss Universe. One of my personal favourites, a portraits of his holiness the Dalai Lama, has been published on book- and DVD cover’s around the world.

Networking & Judging…

I am a member of the International Academy of Visual Arts, NPS Nikon Professional Services as well as the Australian Media, Entertainment & Arts Alliance. I am a judge for 3 international awards: The Communicator Awards (Honouring Creative Excellence For Communications Professionals), The Davey Awards (honouring outstanding creative from the best small agencies & companies worldwide), and The W3 Awards (honoring superior creativity on the web).

Sharing

Speaking at conferences, holding photography workshops at my studio, or teaching photoshop to individual photographers, I absolutely enjoy sharing what I have learned over the years. For upcoming seminars, make sure to check out  the Workshop page.

I hope to talk to you soon. Enjoy…
